1. Venice

Just over a two hour flight from Birmingham Airport, the beautiful city of Venice is an amazing place to visit and it ticks lots of boxes on the romance front.

From a host of things to see and do here you can enjoy a jaunt on a water taxi or gondola to explore its famous Grand Canal; visit the emotional Bridge of Sighs; soak up the atmosphere and feed the flocks of pigeons that make St Mark’s Square their home; or simply take a leisurely stroll through its wonderful, little streets.

Like Venice, Paris is considered to be one of the world’s most romantic cities and it’s just under an hour-and-a-half flight from Birmingham Airport.
