There's a lot of love right here in Birmingham.

So there's no shortage of things to do on Valentine's Day

We have already taken a tongue-in-cheek look at the city's appeal to sweethearts with 19 reasons that show Birmingham definitely isn’t romantic enough for Valentine’s Day

National Express previously claimed that Birmingham is the third most popular place to travel to on Valentine's Day with hundreds of passengers heading here for a romantic weekend.

Perhaps they account for some of the popularity of Birmingham's own Love Lock Bridge

And if you're wondering how locals feel about the day of love, we asked that very question in a Valentine poll.

When is Valentine's Day 2018?

Valentine's Day is always on February 14.

This year, it falls on a Wednesday. That's okay as midweek is usually a great time to get a restaurant booking for a quiet, romantic meal.

But if you're planning something really special like an overnight stay or big night out, then you will probably want to aim for the weekend before (February 10 and 11) or after (February 17 and 18).
