1. Mortimer Country near historic Ludlow

It also allows access to the owner’s one acre garden with a livestock paddock with sheep, chickens and ducks.

Four of the cabins also have their own outdoor hot tubs integrated into the decking. The cabin can accommodate from six to 10 people.
The venue is about 10 minutes from Alton Towers theme park so would be perfect for a weekend break that takes in this popular tourist attraction.
5. Derbyshire, Belper

Set in its own area of our 12 acre, private small holding the owner states that the cabin is not overlooked by any one else.
The cabin’s two bedrooms are both en suite and the living area is open plan. Dogs are allowed on request at an additional cost.
6. Staffordshire Moorlands

Made from Canadian yellow pine with privately screened hot tubs there are various log cabins available, including with a four poster bed, at this spot, which is in easy reach of Alton Towers theme park, it’s just four miles away.
The lodges are also in easy reach of Trentham Monkey Forest and shopping village and The Potteries which boasts an abundance of pottery outlet including Emma Bridgewater Factory Shop in Fenton, Stoke-on-Trent.

Just under a two hour drive from Birmingham this luxury log cabin, which sleeps two people, wins a fabulous five star rating from reviewers on Airbnb and is just three miles away from the beautiful city of Bath.
One reviewer said it was a “truly gorgeous getaway” with modern facilities with a “super cosy” interior.
The cabin is set in the gardens of the owner’s Lodge House amongst the trees overlooking neighbouring fields and features include a large decked area with a hot tub for the private use of guests.
8. Llanfair Waterdine, Knighton

Black Hall Lodge in Shropshire wins 4.9 stars from reviewers and is available for Friday to Monday if you’re looking to book a long weekend away.
Just under a two hour drive from Birmingham, you can choose from six Canadian or six Finnish log cabins to stay in - and from 2018 there will be VIP couples lodges available too.
Our contemporary Finnish timber holiday lodges are set over two storeys and are available with two or three bedrooms and a private Finnish hot tub. The venues Inari lodges also have integrated saunas.
While the Canadian luxury log cabins are both single and double storey and can accommodate up to six guests in one to three bedrooms.
One bedroomed lodge at Dimmingsdale Woodland Retreat

Just over an hour’s drive away from Birmingham this farm located venue wins a faultless five stars from Airbnb reviewers.
One guest said: “We had a really wonderful weekend away, the lodge on the farm is in such a beautiful spot with peaceful surroundings, we only wish we could have stayed longer.”
The lodge includes one bedroom, shower room and kitchen lounge area with a ladder to the second sleeping area.
The owner states that the Lodge is best suited to 2 adults or 2 adults with their 2 children because the second bed, which is a large bunk bed, is up the ladder in the eaves and is off the lounge and adults might find it a bit cramped sleeping in that section.
Breakfast and dinner can also be provided on request for an extra charge but needs to be booked in advance.
