Chameleon will be transformed into old style Hollywood venue

Walk the red carpet for a night of glitz and glamour at The Chameleon nightclub and bar in Victoria Square.

There will be themed singers, entertainment and an extravagantly styled setting.

A three-course dining experience with live Hollywood-style entertainment will take place from 7pm to 9pm followed by a Masquerade Party from 9pm to 3am.

Experience a red carpet welcome at 7pm with a glass of bubbly. Awards and prizes for categories including most glamorous and best table of the night.

Gold tickets are £50 and include the dinner and the party. Silver tickets are £15 for just the party.

The special Masquerade Menu includes mains of rump of lamb with lyonnaise potatoes; smoked haddock fillet with leek and white wine sauce; or wild mushroom shallot and asparagus risotto.

The Gin Vault cocktail bar in Canalside Walk, Gas Street, is offering people A Gintastic New Year's Eve celebration.

The exclusive - but all-inclusive - gin party includes reserved table for the night, champagne reception, free bar (including champagne, gin cocktails and all 180 gins all night), tapas and live music throughout.

Prohibition Cocktail Party at The Bull's Head

One of Birmingham's oldest pubs is inviting people to immerse themselves in the glamour of the 1920s with a Prohbition Cocktail Party.

In 2016, Davenports bought the 115-year-old City Tavern in Bishopsgate Street and returned it to irs original name. It reopened at the end of the year as the brewery's first pub in 30 years.

For New Year's Eve this year, it's returning to the 20s with a party that starts at 9pm when you'll be greeted with hors d'oeuvres before dancing the night away with the Steve Ajao Blues Giants. The party ends at 3am.

The Best New Year's Eve Party Ever at The Jam House

The Jam House live music venue in St Paul's Square, Jewellery Quarter, is having what it's calling The Best New Year's Party Ever.

The Detroit Soul Collective is bringing classic and contemporary dance music including Tamla Motown, Atlantic Soul and funk favourites.

The evening also features local legend and boogie-woogie pianist Dino Baptiste in support with his range of Jools Holland, Beatles and other favourites to get you into the new year spirit, plus a resident DJ to keep the party going through until 3am.

New Year's Eve Party with Barbara Nice at Kitchen Garden Cafe

The Kitchen Garden Cafe in York Road, Kings Heath, is holding a New Year's Eve Party with Barbara Nice.

The party starts at 8pm. Tickets are £40 and include a glass of bubbly on arrival, plus a two-course buffet supper.

There'll be a famous person picture quiz with prizes and comedy entertainment from Brummie comedy character Mrs Barbara Nice, who'll be bringing in the New Year in her inimitable style. Afterwards there'll be a live DJ in Fletchers bar with dancing until 2am.

MOHO Snow Show at The Old Crown

The Old Crown Pub, Digbeth

MOHO (Moschino Hoe, Versace Hottie) has teamed up with The Old Crown in Digbeth to turn the pub's garden and car park into a super-slick ski slope. Expect snowy ski-lodge style all round.

There will be sub-zero sounds served up by the Moho All Stars and the Beep Me Players.

It comes hot - or should we say cold - on the heels of the boozer's Apres Ski Party nights on December 15, 16, 22 and 23.

World Bar is having a Back to the 80s NYE Party with live music from the Rewind band from 9pm followed by a DJ playing all the era's biggest hits until late.

Join Digbeth Dining Club on Lower Trinity Street for a big fat New Years Eve party.

Cosy speakeasy bar Harborne School Yard in Harborne will be serving cocktails, champagne and street food whilst DJs play an eclectic range of music.

From 3pm to 8pm the party will be free for all to attend - perfect for families who fancy a local daytime outing.

After 8pm, it costs £10 to get in and is for over 18s only as the celebrations gear up to bring in January 1st with a roar.

New Year's Eve Gala at Symphony Hall

Claret and blue lights at Symphony Hall ready for Nigel Kennedy

There's a New Year's Eve Gala on at Symphony Hall in the city centre, with its tradition of bringing in the new year with classics and favourites including Rule, Britannia!, Nessun Dorma, and Land of Hope and Glory.

The London Concert Orchestra will be conducted by Anthony Inglis and accompanied by soprano Sky Ingram, tenor Alexander James Edwards.

Ice Rink and Big Wheel

The ice rink and big wheel in Eastside Green, New Canal Street, Digbeth, are due to stay open late on New Year’s Eve, finishing at 1am on New Year's Day.

So you can take a midnight spin on the wheel or the rink to see in 2018.

Be sure to wrap up warm if you head there to welcome in the new year - and here's all the things you can see from the top of the Big Wheel in its new location.

You could also choose to go skating on the Christmas ice rink at Webbs Garden Centre, Worcester Road, Wychbold, Droitwich.

Webbs' rink comes complete with a lit up roof, so families can skate whatever the weather throughout Christmas week right through to January 2, excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Magical Lantern Festival

New Year's Day is the final day of the Magical Lantern Festival in Kings Heath Park so you could go and enjoy it on New Year's Eve before it closes.

It features hundreds of handmade, illuminated installations including a huge gingerbread house and enormous, handmade replica of the iconic Birmingham Central Library plus rides and a Christmas market.

For an additional £10, children can meet Santa in a timber grotto and take away a gift.

Winter Wonderland at SnowDome

New Year's Eve is the final day of Tamworth SnowDome’s Winter Wonderland.

Head there for sledging and tubing in the snow and a wander around an animal village which boasts real reindeer.
