January has arrived with Birmingham City knowing there is work to be done in the transfer window.
It won't be quite as hectic as the whirlwind summer that started the season - and that's probably a good thing.
But Blues do need options up front, quality in the middle of the park and maybe even reinforcements at the back.
Here are the players that have been linked with moves to St Andrew's so far.
Devante Cole - Fleetwood Town
Cole, 22, has been linked with Blues and Rangers after scoring 12 times in 30 appearances in League One this season.
He previously came close to joining Sheffield United in the summer transfer window.
The striker will be available in a cut-price deal this month with his contract set to expire in six months.
Miquel Nelom - Feyenoord
Blues are reportedly interested in signing Miquel Nelom.
Nelom, 27, is out of contract in the summer and Feyenoord are listening to offers this month to ensure they don't lose the left-back on a free transfer at the end of the season.
He has won two international caps for the Netherlands - both coming in 2013 - after representing the county at under-20 and under-21 levels.
Nelom has been a regular for the Eredivisie club in recent seasons and played in Feynoord’s Champions League defeat to Manchester City in September.
Jack Marriott - Peterborough United
One Championship club has reportedly seen a £3.5million bid rejected by Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony, while two further bids of £4million from separate second tier clubs have also been knocked back.
It is understood Birmingham City are among a contingent of Championship clubs to have watched Marriott this season as part of Steve Cotterill’s forward hunt.
Leeds United and Villa have also been linked with Marriott, who joined Posh from League Two side Luton Town in the summer.
Darko Jevtic - Lech Poznan
Reports in Poland claimed Blues were ready to pay €2.6 million for the midfielder.
Jevtic, a former Switzerland under-21 international, of Serbian origin, is a left-footed attacking midfielder who is a key player for Poznan
However, sources at Blues have poured cold water on the rumour.
Cameron Jerome - Norwich City
The Sun claimed Blues are interested in bringing the 31-year-old back to the club.
With Steve Cotterill looking to bolster his attacking options the one which brings back Jerome - who spent five years at St Andrew's - has been well received.
He's not played much at Carrow Road, where Daniel Farke seems to prefer Nelson Oliveira and would definitely consider a return.
However, up until yesterday there had been no approach from Blues and no sign of one.
Shehu Abdullahi - Anorthosis Famagusta
Nigerian international Shehu Abdullahi is attracting interest from Birmingham City, according to The Express.
The 24-year-old midfielder is in the final year of his contract at Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta and will be available for around £500k in January.
Abdullahi is a regular for his country and recently helped the Super Eagles qualify for the World Cup in Russia next summer.
Jack Colback - Newcastle United
Birmingham City and Leeds United are weighing up January moves for Jack Colback, with Newcastle United ready to offload the midfielder in January.
Blues and Leeds scouts were watching the 28-year-old as he played 90 minutes for Newcastle's second string, reported our sister title the Chronicle.
Colback has fallen down the pecking order at St James' Park and hasn't played a single competitive match for the Magpies this season.
Lewis Morgan - St Mirren
Blues, Rangers and Celtic are all reported to be keeping tabs on the winger who has impressed in the Scottish Championship this season, with Celtic leading the chase.
Nottingham Forest have also thrown their hat into the ring to sign the 21-year-old who was named September player of the month in the second tier.
St Mirren would be prepared to cash in on Morgan for £500,000 plus add-ons - and Celtic are on the brink of completing a deal.
Luke Strachan - Peterborough United
Both Blues and Villa are looking at youngster Luke Strachan, according to reports.
Website Football Insider claims scouts of the Birmingham rivals are watching to see how the midfielder, grandson of Scotland manager Gordon, develops after excellent performances in the Posh youth ranks.
Jonny Williams - Crystal Palace
Blues were linked in the national press with the 23-year-old and could make a swoop in the January transfer window with Palace considering allowing the £2million-rated Wales international to leave on a permanent deal.
Williams joined Sunderland on a season-long loan deal in the summer.
But Palace are able to recall the Selhurst Park academy graduate in January if serious interest is registered from elsewhere.
Here is a selection of players Blues were linked with during the whirlwind summer - and what happened next.
Rob Green - Leeds United
The only stopper linked along with David Stockdale who joined.
Green was suggested by the bookies as a possible option between the sticks. He played under Redknapp at Loftus Road.
Tommy Elphick - Aston Villa
The Sun reckoned Elphick, 29, was Redknapp’s first target as he looked to fashion the Blues squad to his own liking.
Centre-back Elphick has previous Championship pedigree with Brighton and Bournemouth, particularly with the latter for whom he captained to the title in 2015.
Chris Samba - Free agent (Signed for Aston Villa)
The 33-year-old was one of a number of players Blues’ new manager is considering.
Samba spent the end of last season training with Aston Villa with a view to earning a contract from Steve Bruce.
Blues could have be in a position to offer him a deal with Redknapp having already hinted he wants to strengthen at the back, but Samba signed for Villa.
Ryan Bennett - Norwich City (signed for Wolves)
Blues were said to be interested in Ryan Bennett, made a free agent when his contract at Norwich City expired, according to reports.
Bennett was been told, along with the likes of John Ruddy, Sebastien Bassong, Youssouf Mulumbu and Kyle Lafferty that their deals at Carrow Road will not be getting renewed this summer after the Canaries failed to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
Thomas O'Ware - Morton
The central defender has been attracting the attention of several Scottish Premiership sides, including Glasgow giants Celtic and Rangers, after scoring 10 goals in the Scottish Championship this season.
O’Ware, 24, was also said to be interesting Blues’ West Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Chey Dunkley - Oxford United (signed for Wigan Athletic)
The centre-back's contract at Oxford ran out.
The 25-year-old played 52 times for Michael Appleton's side last season and was tipped to be a player capable of making the step-up to Championship level.
He was also being watched by Nottingham Forest, according to the Daily Mail.
John Terry - Chelsea (signed for Aston Villa)
Terry left Stamford Bridge and was in demand from a number of Premier League clubs.
Redknapp has offered him another option but the vastly experienced centre-back chose to link up with Steve Bruce.
Blues were with a move for Augsburg defender Daniel Opare following the appointment of Jeff Vetere as director of football.
When Vetere was at Real Madrid, he brought Opare to the club to play for the club's Castilla side - when the right-back was one of the most exciting teenagers in the game.
Nedum Onuoha - QPR
Another player with previous links to Redknapp.
The 30-year-old was managed by him at QPR.
Marc Roberts - Barnsley (joined Blues)
Blues swooped for Marc Roberts amid Premier League interest in the Barnsley captain.
Mitchell Dijks - Ajax
The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Norwich City after joining in January, and was mooted to be on his way back to England with Blues.
Dijks' contract expires next summer and Ajax director Mark Overmars could still look to cash in.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto - Metz
Assou-Ekotto didn't reunite with Harry Redknapp this summer.
The full-back has agreed a new one-year contract with current club Metz.
Redknapp claimed over the summer that Assou-Ekotto “could well end up” at Blues within the next year.
Niko Kranjcar - Rangers
Kranjcar was linked after Redknapp joined Blues and was touted as a possible arrival at St Andrew's.
The Croatian midfielder said: "I am happy with my current status and hopefully I’ll be ready to go 100 per cent when we start with preparation for the new season.”
Lasse Vigen Christensen - Fulham (joined Brondby)
The Daily Mail reported that Blues were keeping tabs on the Denmark under 21 international, along with Sheffield United and Celtic.
Christensen spent the second half of the season at Burton Alibion, where he made 16 appearances after signing on loan in January.
The 22-year-old joined Fulham in 2012, but with only a year remaining on his deal, he eventually sought a fresh start with Brondby.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Chelsea (joined Crystal Palace)
The Chelsea youngster, who was linked with a move to the Midlands in January, was linked in the betting.
Brighton were thought to be leading the chase for the highly-rated midfielder but Crystal Palace nabbed Loftus-Cheek on loan.
Jonny Hayes - Aberdeen (Signed for Celtic)
Redknapp scouted the winger in the Scottish Cup final.
Hayes opened the scoring in the 2-1 defeat to Celtic, his 11th goal of a superb season which prompted interest from a number of clubs.
Clubs both north and south of the border were tracking the Republic of Ireland international, who was been instrumental in a strong campaign for the Dons that saw them finish runners-up to Celtic in all three domestic competitions.Celtic secured his signature.
Robbie Keane - Free agent (joined ATK)
Keane, who played under Redknapp at Tottenham Hotspur, was without a club since leaving Major League Soccer franchise LA Galaxy in December.
Redknapp reportedly spoke to Keane earlier about the possibility of linking up with him at St Andrew's before the veteran forward signed for Indian side ATK.
Jermain Defoe - Sunderland (joined Bournemouth)
Blues were included in betting markets land the England striker, who played under Redknapp at West Ham United, Portsmouth and Tottenham.
Defoe agreed a three-year deal at Premier League side Bournemouth worth around £65,000-a-week.
Peter Crouch - Stoke City
Another Redknapp favourite who was touted with a move to St Andrew's.
But there was no reunion with Crouch happy at Stoke.
"I think Harry was trying to get a few of the boys to Birmingham City next season," he said.
"I'm not sure how far he is prepared to go back, but I told him I was happy where I am for a few more years."
Will Grigg - Wigan Athletic
Former Blues trainee was suggested as a target to add more goals to the side.
The 26-year-old remained at Wigan.
Troy Deeney - Watford
Fans were excited after the bookies sensationally linked Troy Deeney with a move to Birmingham City.
SkyBet had suspended the betting on the Watford forward joining Blues or Leeds United.
But that market quickly hanged - although Deeney was linked with a Vicarage Road exit this summer.
Conor Washington - QPR
Washington has won 10 caps for Northern Ireland and was part of last summer’s Euro 2016 squad that were knocked out in the last-16 by Wales.
The striker has only been in the second tier for two years following an extraordinary rise from non-league football.

Blues were said to have targeted Diony with Redknapp keen to share the goalscoring burden.
Brighton were also interested before the striker opted to remain in France with St Etienne.
