A drop-in event on Tuesday, January 9, will not only introduce visitors to the vital vocation of nursing, but also remind everyone that the New Year is the time to think of a new career.

Nursing is one of the most rewarding professions for caring and compassionate people and nursing graduates have the potential to work across a range of settings, from A&E, critical care, medical and surgical wards, to hospices, nursing homes, GP practices and in people’s own homes.

Coventry University’s new £60 million science and health building has a fully-equipped ambulance, mock hospital wards, an operating theatre and community houses.

Courses start in February and September this year, so why not attend the drop-in event to find out more? Alternatively, go to www.coventry.ac.uk/hls .

And of course, universities and colleges throughout the region have numerous courses covering various careers, from accountancy to engineering, dentistry to surveying. So what not take a look at some of the websites?
